In a society where families are often miles apart, where once they would have remained in the same area and been there in the various generations to support each other, we do what we can to build communities to do just that. To be there for each other, even if just to enjoy the company of like minds in our stunning West Sussex countryside.

We have been building community for over 20 years, outside gatherings starting with our annual Summer Solstice Greenman Walk and picnic. We now try and organise a monthly walk if we can, a women and children's annual picnic, and the last few years include the very popular outside drumming circles in the trees.

Many people seek company, many people would love to go for walks in the trees but are uncomfortable going in isolation. By organising these informal gatherings in public spaces, we open up the facility for people to explore nature and spend time with friends old and new. Many new friendships have been formed by people attending these gatherings. The inter-generational aspect of the gatherings, help people to learn from each other's life experience. The elders have much knowledge to share, and much can be learned from the youngsters attitude to life.

These gatherings are all free, and we simply say we are going to be in a public place at a certain time, and invite whoever would like to join us there. Simple as that.
